The experience begins as the figure is unwrapped. A roof must be gently lifted off the specially-made doghouse which constitutes the packaging. A black nose appears. Followed by two gentle eyes under long, soft ears. And finally, the body with its short legs and pointed, dark tail. Your very own dog.
Clean with a damp cloth.
Hans Bølling is a Danish architect and designer. He was born in Brabrand, near Aarhus in 1931 and trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture. Hans Bølling is primarily known and loved for his familiar figures like the Duckling, the Optimist and the Pessimist as well as furniture as the well-known Tray Table.
His love of dogs prompted a young Hans Bølling to design Oscar in 1953. A timeless depiction of the four-legged creature, man's best friend.
Sixty-five years after the first Oscar figure was produced, the cherished dog is now relaunched as the Architectmade Rufus Beech & Leather Dog Model with the same technical details and clean lines.
