These fireplace tools are hand-forged from reclaimed railroad tracks and remain just as hardy as the day they were laid down. For durability and uniform color, the tools have been triple-plated with a black powder-coated finish. A poker helps to maneuver wood, while tongs can be used to add another log to the fire. The shovel helps for removing excess ash to keep your fireplace tidy.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth after use.
While exploring a small village in Italy, designer Marco Ferreri encountered workers using a century-old water-powered hammer to cut and refashion old pieces of railroad track. With this durable material they made shovels, hoes and other utilitarian tools. Inspired by the determination and gusto of these blacksmiths, Ferreri designed this set of modern, minimal fire tools in homage to traditional blacksmithing and ironworks.
