why this product

Bedtime becomes especially peaceful when cozying up under this 300-thread count, organic cotton sateen duvet from Coyuchi. A 300-thread count (which is often difficult to find in organic cotton textiles) results in a fine sateen that is soft and flexible while remaining naturally wrinkle resistant even after washing and drying. Coconut shell buttons, a natural alternative to typical plastic buttons, finish the duvet at its closure.

This duvet cover meets the certification standards of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which are awarded by the International Working Group in conjunction with the International Labor Organization. This means that the cover contains at least 95% organic fiber; has been colored with non-toxic dyes and not treated with bleach, formaldehyde or other toxic substances; and was produced in a mill that enforces strict social and environmental standards, treating their employees and the earth with deep respect.

use & care

Machine wash on the gentle or delicate cycle with like colors, with warm water and a natural, plant based laundry detergent. Whiteners are not recommended as bleaching agents may diminish the brilliance and depth of the colors; when needed, use only non-chlorine bleach.

Line dry, or tumble dry low and remove promptly. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets are not recommended. Use a warm iron as needed.

production & design

This duvet cover was made by Coyuchi, a textile company with studios set in the picturesque environment of the northern California coast. Their designers and makers are inspired by the visions of the surrounding environment, from sun-starched fields of foliage to rustic barns surfacing from moody gray fogs. Coyuchi’s mission and philosophy is to create comfortable, natural textiles that are produced in a way that will not harm the environment. All of their products are certified by international organizations as being woven from organic materials that are free of chemicals and harmful substances, and made by people that are respected with fair wages and treated well according to labor laws set by the International Labor Organization.
