This Merino wool, pin-tucked bowtie was inspired by the architectural lines of the ancient mining town of Goslar, Germany—home to the famous Rammelsberg mountain and a historic mine, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
The pin-tuck detailing of the bowtie is created by hand and reminiscent of the timber-framed houses lining the cobblestone pathways throughout the town.
Dry clean only. Medium-heat iron.
In 2011, Mason Hainey started his accessories line MIZU after a long but futile quest for a unique, high-quality bowtie. Finding nothing in stores that appealed to him, Mason designed his own bowtie using vintage material from a local second-hand store. From that first product, he has since expanded his collection to include scarves, lapel pins, neckties, pocket squares and jewelry.
Mason hand makes each item himself. He is dedicated to using vintage fabrics, with the belief that they carry a story that may inspire the wearer to go out, travel and create their own tale.
