The rich tradition and history of British textiles meets contemporary design in these uniquely patterned blankets. Referencing sound waves and radio transmission, the blanket features dynamic white lines and a reversible design.
Textile designer Eleanor Pritchard first comes up with the idea for a piece - from texture to pattern to color - in her London studio. The designs are then woven on traditional shuttle looms in West Wales by a team of highly skilled weavers.
This Shetland wool blanket is finished with a mustard whipstitch. Drape it on the couch or at the foot of the bed - and fold over for an extra pattern-on-pattern pop.
Dry clean only.
Textile designer Eleanor Pritchard has always loved playing with color and pattern. Her work mixes the tradition and history of British textiles with a modern, mid-century aesthetic and philosophy. The result is a signature style characterized by bold geometrics and graphic, reversible patterns.
At Pritchard's sunny London studio, each collection or project begins with a storyboard, in which pattern, texture and color is determined. The designs are sent to a small, traditional mill in West Wales, where a team of well-respected and highly-skilled British weavers produce the blankets, cushions and fabrics. The textiles are then sent back to London to be individually inspected and hand-packed for shipment.
