The wool lining of our slippers is soft and comfortable, while the tough wool shell protects your feet. The rubberized bottom provides traction and support for walking on smooth surfaces like bathroom and kitchen tile floors.
To create these slippers, sheets of Austrian double-sided lambswool – one side felted, the other side woolen spun and fluffy – are cut and handsewn to a wool and cotton foot liner. The finished slipper is then fitted into heated molds full of small rubber pellets that are melted together and affixed onto the slipper liner.
The slippers are made in the town of Quimper in Brittany, France—which features a wooly ram on its coat of arms—and the family-run company continues to use the same techniques established in 1938.
Slip on and get comfortable. Spot clean with cold water.
In 1938, Walter Hubacher started his company in Quimper, France, with a specialization in fishermen’s knits, underwear and jackets. Since these beginnings, the company has grown into one of the largest garment manufacturers in France, known for their quality wear and providing uniforms for corporate brands and sports figures, such as professional skipper Erwan Tabarly. The company is now run by the fourth generation of the Hubacher family.
