Since 1970, this American leatherwares company has been handcrafting custom and off-the-shelf leather wallets, briefcases, duffels and other accessories. The same attention to detail and quality is given to this small leather luggage tag as to their larger goods. The leather is vegetable-tanned, which is the oldest historical method for tanning leather and the process that preserves the animal hide, preventing it from hardening over time. The leather is then tumbled (abraded with small stones and pebbles) to create a soft texture. The letterpress insert has a clean, minimalist aesthetic, and is custom-made for us. The solid brass hardware and rounded, polished edges are a signature of this American leather goods company.
Avoid contact with water, chemicals, extreme conditions and dry weather. If exposed to any of these elements, use a soft washcloth to rub leather polish onto the surface of the tag as needed. The luggage tag will age beautifully over time, developing a unique patina through the years.
The founder of this leather goods company is proud that every portion of the products—from hide to handbag—is made in the United States by one of his skilled craftsman. His love for the craft comes from a strong heritage in the profession: his great-grandfather was a leather tanner in England and his mother was a talented seamstress.
