Get down in the dirt without getting dirty using this efficient oak wood seed dibber. When planting a new nursery bed, push the points of the dibber into the earth to create hospitable holes for your seeds. The dibbers are spaced two inches apart to ensure room to grow.
The dibber prongs can also be used to rake out drills for sowing rows of small seeds. The flat back of the dibber may be used to tamp down compost and soil over the sown seeds.
Wipe clean after use. Do not soak in water. Condition by rubbing linseed oil into wood with a soft cloth.
In 1981, John Buckland began creating gardening and home goods out of a shed in his family home using a wood lathe and hand tools. The demand for products increased and John eventually moved the business to an old corn and wood mill. Most of their products are now turned by machine in order to achieve uniformity, while finishing details continue to be done by hand for quality control. The business is run by John, his wife and their five sons.
