About Combekk Cast Iron Cookware

A cast iron frying pan is called a "Dutch Oven" across the globe. The name "Dutch Oven" refers to a manufacturing technique in which molten iron is poured into a sand mold. The Dutch invented this technique several hundred years ago. We are very proud that we are the only cookware company worldwide casting our pans in the Netherlands. A Dutch Oven from the Netherlands - as it should be! At Combekk, we make our products from 100% recycled material. Through a special furnace and the right mix of materials, the best quality is achieved. This allows us to make our cookware from, for example, old bridges, railroads or bicycles from which the materials are given a second life.
